A child of the 90s, Vi was born and raised in Germany and went on to study dance and gyrokinesis. In their professional career, they have performed in various stage productions at state and independent theaters and, in the last couple of years, got into drag performance in Berlin’s queer and DIY scene. Since the genocide, they put many creative endeavors aside in order to focus on protesting the Zionist war crimes in Palestine and Germany’s complicity thereof, which also meant forfeiting career opportunities due to the government’s cultural policy of censorship and defunding. Vi showed up in the streets nearly every weekend to demonstrate while also getting involved in community organizing. Besides this, they helped raise funds for their friend Marwan in Gaza and his family, whose home, farm and belongings were all destroyed in the genocide.
Some of the authors they have enjoyed recently are adrienne maree brown, Dean Spade and Leslie Feinberg, besides various political zines.
Vi is imprisoned in JVA Schwäbisch Gmünd.
